We presented a cheque for $1,000.00 for the Kiwanis Reading Program at Yorkwoods Public School on June 11. (See PHOTOS).

The Kiwanis International Convention took place in Las Vegas, Nevada, U.S.A. from June 24 – 27. There, it was announced that our new Worldwide Service project would be The Elimination of Maternal/Neonatal Tetanus. Kiwanis partner will be UNICEF.

The Kiwanis Eastern Canada & Caribbean District Convention is being held in St. John, NB early in August. Our incoming President for 2010-2011 will attend for Kiwanis education and training. There will be no club meetings in July and August but monthly Board of Directors will be held. The next club meeting will take place on September 8.
